This photo was originally inspired by Conrad Castelo, a now professional photographer who took a picture of one of his cameras reading its own manual. He called this photo “Getting Up to Speed”. With this image in mind, I Christmas-ified it, if you will, to make it look like a camera sneaking out of its box on Christmas morning. I originally wanted just the “Nikon” to be in focus, but then it was tough to read the “Merry Christmas” sign I’d tacked to the side of the box. I took this photo in front of a black-ish/white-ish background and on top of a black suitcase, to improve the contrast, with my dad’s Nikon D200 and of my dad’s Nikon FA. I did need to use an additional flash, seeing as though the lighting wasn’t quite right. So that’s that photo.
Hugs and squishes,
Angie
